Born Haslington, enlisted Crewe. Son of Samuel and Annie Allen of 15, Henry Street, Haslington. Formerly a fitter in Crewe Works. Enlisted on November 29, 1915. Embarked (on the SS Copenhagen) from Southampton for France (Rouen) on April 26, 1916.
