Edgar Price's Story.
The C.W.G.C. record Edgar Woodward’s death on Sunday 4th May 1919. Edgar’s rank was Bombardier, he was 26 and he was with the 149th Bde. Royal Field Artillery, Reg’t. No. 24768. Edgar is buried in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Weaverham. Son of John and Mary Woodward of 23 Church St. Weaverham, Northwich. Personal Inscription; WITH CHRIST WHICH IS FAR BETTER.
The Weaverham “Roll of Honour” records ten Woodward lads, including one lad with the “E” initial. One lad, an H. Woodward, is named on the Fallen Memorial.
