TRANMERE MAN FATALLY WOUNDED

Mrs. Collins, of 60, Maybank Road, Tranmere, has received the sad intimation of the death from wounds in France of her husband, Pte. W. J. Collins, who joined the King’s Liverpools almost at the outbreak of hostilities. He had only been out in France three months when on December 23rd he received his wounds, to which he succumbed on December 24th. Prior to the war Pte. Collins was on the publishing staff of the “Birkenhead Advertiser,” to which he had been attached for many years. He was very well known locally, and was married only 15 months ago. We extend our deepest sympathy to Mrs. Collins in her sad bereavement.
