DIED FROM WOUNDS.

Former Birkenhead Railwayman.

News has been received of the death from wounds sustained in battle, of Private H. Kimber, of the 4th Cheshires. Private Kimber, who has been at the front for about three months, joined the 4th Cheshires in the early days of the war, and was afterwards transferred to the 5th. On joining he was employed by the Joint L. and N.W. and G.W.R Railways at Birkenhead. Both his parents are dead. A brother of Private H. Kimber is serving with the Army in India. Private Kimber, who was a native of Shropshire was only just 19 years of age.
