Rock Ferry N.C.O. Killed.

One of the Wirral “Pals.”

Mr. and Mrs J. Blundell, of 52, Chatham Road, Rock Ferry, have been notified by the War Office that their third son, Lance-Corporal William Blundell, was killed in action on May 13th. Corporal Blundell joined the Army at the commencement of the war. He had been out at the front nine months with his regiment, the Wirral “Pals,” and had seen much of the fighting that has taken place during that time. Previous to the war he was a highly esteemed worker at Messrs. Lever Bros., Port Sunlight, in the stamping department. He was also a very enthusiastic worker in connection with St. Barnabas P.S.A., and his death will be deeply regretted by a large number of friends and comrades. Mr. and Mrs. Blundell have two more sons serving for their King and country. George is attached to the 4th Cheshires, and is still in training at Oswestry, and Edward is in the 6th Kings. The sincerest sympathy of a large circle of friends goes out to the bereaved family.
