Charles Herbert's Story.
Gunner C.H.M. Ray
Information has been received that gunner Charles Herbert Martin Ray, off the Royal Field Artillery, of Shavington, has deid of wounds. Gunner Ray, who was 30 years of age, was before joining the army three years ago, in the employ of the L. and N.W. Railway Co., and lived with his grandmother at Wolf’s Cottage, Main Road, Shavington. He had seen a good deal of active service and had been twice wounded. He recently lost a brother at the front. His youngest brother it's also serving in the army.
